Recognise the Clarendon name?
Many Tasmanians will know us as Clarendon Children’s Home. Before 2004, Clarendon provided residential foster care for children, family care and family support in Kingston Beach.
These services were closed in 2006 and the property owned by Clarendon was sold. The funds resulting from its sale together with other monies derived from bequests and donations have been amalgamated to create a Perpetual Fund. From the fund comes our Grants Program.
In this way, Clarendon continues to fulfil the purpose for which it was originally established.
